Getting Ready!

I put my education on hold to have a family. Work and life has a way of putting college on the back burner. After becoming unemployed this spring I decided it was time to do something that I wanted to do for years. Get a BA in History and my Master's. The added plus is that finishing my education would give me a leg up in a very tough economy.

For years I have missed buying school supplies in the fall when it was time for the kids to go back to school. It gave me such a sense of calm to go out and get the paper, notebooks, and stickies for my return to college. I have to admit to being overwhelmed by the financial aid process, picking classes and getting everything in order and ready to start classes on June 6th.

Choosing a school was the hardest part. Did I want to go to a traditional university or do an online program? I weighed the pros and cons of both, settling on an online University program. Adult learners have many options that were not available when my children were young. Life has changed so much in the computer/internet age.

This is a very exciting time for me. Come along on my journey to fulfill a dream that got put on hold for many, many years. I invite your comments, advice and support.
